The Pendik-Kaynarca-Tuzla metro line consists of 8 stations with a total length of 12 kilometers operating on 2 independent lines. All work under the responsibility of Soner Temel Mühendislik, which took part in the project as the NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method) Expert Team, has been completed.
Line 1: "Tavşantepe-Tuzla Line", which is 7.9 kilometers long and has 6 stations. This line is the continuation of Kadıköy-Tavşantepe Metro Line.
Line 2: "Pendik Center-Kaynarca Line" with a length of 4.1 kilometers and 2 stations. This line is the continuation of Tavşantepe-Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro, to which it will connect at the Hospital Station.
The first of the line, starting from the tail track tunnel of the Kartal-Kaynarca metro line, which is still under construction, of the existing Kadıköy-Kartal metro line, passes through Kaynarca Merkez, Çamçeşme, Kavakpınar, Esenyalı and Aydıntepe (Tuzla Shipyard) stations and ends at the end of the tail lines in Tuzla Municipality. The total length of this line is approximately 7.9 kilometers. Pendik Merkez-Kaynarca Metro Line will start from Pendik Merkez Station, which will be established next to Pendik Station, which is operated as Marmaray and High Speed Train stations, and will reach Kaynarca Merkez Station. The line, which is connected to the Hospital station of the Sabiha Gökçen Airport rail system connection, which is under construction from here, has a total length of 4.1 kilometers and will reach a total length of 13 kilometers with a 1 kilometer connection tunnel.
When the project is completed, the travel time from Tuzla station to Tavşantepe station will be 11 minutes and to Kadıköy station will be 51 minutes. A passenger getting on from Pendik station will be able to reach Sabiha Gökçen Airport in 15 minutes. The line will have the capacity to carry 62 thousand passengers per hour/one direction. The daily passenger carrying capacity will be up to 2 million 225 thousand.
