KRK Holding continues to set high
standards in every sector in which it operates, thanks to the
environment-friendly processes that it has put into use in order to leave a
sustainable and livable world for future generations within the scope of its
Sustainable Excellence manifesto.
In this context, within the scope
of the '’Zero Waste Regulation'’ of the Ministry of Environment and
Urbanization published in the Official Gazette with the number 30829 on 12 July
2019, KRK Holding became entitled to obtain the "Zero Waste
Certificate" by rapidly realizing the related processes in which it participated
as Özgün İnşaat and completing all necessary studies.
KRK Holding head office started
the '’Zero Waste Project'’ in August 2021, and on 17 August 2021, Özgün İnşaat
applied to the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization
and registered in the Integrated Environmental Information System and obtained
authorization for online services.
On October 10, 2021, the
procurement of Zero Waste related equipment and the construction of the
Temporary Waste Storage Area were completed. On November 11, 2021, the
environmental engineer Rojda SÜRMELİ gave the necessary training to the staff
in the head office.
With the completion of the
necessary preparations, an application was made to the relevant authority for
the "Zero Waste Certificate" on 12 November 2021.
From the beginning of the project
until February 13, 2022, 3.5 tons of recyclable waste was separated at the
source and delivered to the relevant institutions/organizations, bringing it to
the country's economy and contributing to the protection of the environment.
